The Roads and Highways Practice is seeking an Engineer-in-Training in Coeur d’Alene, ID. What You’ll Do Key Responsibilities: Works with project teams on all aspects of projects, including project set-up, drafting, design, quality review and quality assurance, project coordination/organization, etc. Prepares and designs improvement plans for a wide range of transportation projects Prepares and/or modifies construction documents, reports, specifications, cost estimates, and designs for projects Analyzes maps, reports, drawings, as-builts and test results for design projects Assists with post design construction support services to respond to contractor RFI’s, submittal reviews, as-built preparation, and field observations May perform construction inspection on project-specific basis Coordinates work with other disciplines and offices on multi-discipline projects Assists with utility coordination including conflict analysis and coordination with public and private utility companies What You Bring Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 0-4 years of Civil Engineering experience Experience with Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) Good communication skills (written and oral) Ability to communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences Familiar with Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Preferred Qualifications: Drafting and design experience with Bentley OpenRoads and/or Civil 3D for the design of alignments and 3D design surfaces Engineer-in-Training Certification Transportation project experience Construction experience 1+ years of experience designing transportation projects What We Offer We foster an environment where talented professionals have the freedom and support to do their most meaningful work.
