role at
MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure Renewables Construction Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar or battery energy storage projects across the United States. You’ll serve as the single point of accountability for delivering safe, high-quality, and profitable projects—on time and on budget.
Responsibilities
Assure project abides by all environmental safety awareness and compliance
Support and further the company culture, values, Key Results and quality management
Document and communicate project progress, performance, and issues to all stakeholders
Provide day to day direction and oversight of project resources (staff, equipment, subcontractors) and materials
Successfully integrate resources, activities, and deliverables as outlined in the Project Execution Plan
Own the project budget, cost, forecast, and schedule
Provide successful management of all contract documents, risks and changes throughout the project
Project Integration Management: manage the processes and activities needed to identify, define, combine, unify, and coordinate the various processes and project management activities within the project
Project Scope management: ensure the project includes all the work required, and only the work required, to complete the project successfully
Project Time Management: track and monitor the processes required to manage the timely completion of the project
Project Cost Management: manage planning, estimating, budgeting, financing, funding, managing, and cost controls to complete within the approved budget
Project Quality Management: establish and support quality policies, objectives, and responsibilities so the project satisfies its purpose
Project Human Resource Management: organize, manage, and lead the project team
Project Communications Management: plan, collect, create, distribute, store, retrieve, manage, and disposition project information
Project Risk Management: conduct risk planning, identification, analysis, response planning, and controlling risk
Project Procurement Management: procure products, services, or results needed from outside the project team
Project Stakeholder Management: identify and engage all impacted individuals and organizations
Invest time to enhance apprentices’ skills and knowledge; champion the process
Provide a positive environment to support coaching and mentoring of apprentices
Commit to accurate classification for PWA (Prevailing Wage & Apprenticeship) compliance when applicable
Involve the PWA team prior to subcontract negotiations
Ensure discipline documentation for apprentices is completed and submitted for DOL purposes
Issue PWA non-compliance notices following alerts from the PWA team
Oversee PWA compliance execution through partnering with the PWA team
Maintain Apprentice/Journeyman pairings and submit to Apprenticeship team weekly
Submit PWA deliverables to the Owner
Address and route PWA questions to the appropriate experts and ensure timely responses
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum of five years of construction industry experience, including knowledge of construction techniques, estimating, and construction management
Experience in project management on utility-scale renewables projects (solar, BESS, or wind) preferred; experience with EPC or large-scale construction under a heavy general contractor will be considered
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Take responsibility for health and safety and contribute to a Zero Injury culture
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, Timberline, and construction software
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical documents
Ability to write reports and business correspondence; effectively present information to project managers, clients, and stakeholders
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; capable of applying basic algebra and geometry
Willingness and ability to work on-site 100% of the time with a rotation for home
Working Environment
On visiting jobsites, exposure to hazards or physical risks requiring safety precautions
Moderate exposure to elements such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, and noise

Compensation: $130,000-$160,000 per year, commensurate with experience
