Architectural Project Coordinator Join Interplan LLC – National Architects & Engineers in Orlando to coordinate project design for large retail and restaurant clients.

Overview Interplan is a commercial architectural and engineering firm with over 50 years of experience specializing in restaurant and retail design for large nationwide clients. Our Orlando office is expanding, and we are seeking a talented Architectural Project Coordinator to join our team.

Responsibilities

Produce construction documents and specifications for small to medium projects.

Run a small project or series of projects with minimal oversight from a Project Architect or Project Manager.

Resolve basic design issues and produce architectural construction documents.

Complete designated scope of work within allotted time and budget.

Delegate, review, and accept responsibility for work of CAD technicians.

Assist with coordination of all project efforts to ensure efficient and cost‑effective execution.

Research and apply building codes; interact with code enforcement agencies as needed.

Take initiative to learn new architectural skills.

Coordinate with engineering disciplines, including running kick‑off meetings.

Receive and assimilate project information from the Project Architect/Manager and the client.

Provide appropriate level of customer service in collaboration with the Project Architect/Manager.

Qualifications & Prior Experience

3+ years of experience on commercial architecture projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a combination of schooling and drafting/design experience in an architectural office.

Proficiency in preparing construction documents.

Good understanding of zoning and building codes.

Architectural licensure or a clear path to licensure (plus).

Proficiency with AutoCAD, Photoshop, SketchUp; experience with Revit is a plus.

Strong skills in MS Office, Adobe Suites; experience with MEP drawings and systems.

Limited travel for site visits and client meetings.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Ability to work independently and be a team player.
