Electrical Hardware Design Engineer
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master’s degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
Electrical Hardware Design Engineer
to join our cross‑disciplinary team responsible for developing weapons and navigation system hardware. This role includes schematic design and layout of hardware with FPGAs, DDR RAM (DDR3, DDR4, LPDDR4) memory interfaces, and digital interfaces (e.g. I2C, SPI, SDIO).
We encourage you to apply if you have any of these preferred skills or experiences: schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems and components, use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment, experience designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens Xpedition or similar tools.
What sets you apart:
An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test.
Knowledge of Siemens Xpedition or similar tools for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis.
Experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces.
Problem‑solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions.
Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively, and mentoring junior engineers when needed.
Workplace Options This position is fully on‑site. While on‑site, you will be a part of our Colorado Springs, Colorado facility. Flexible schedules with every other Friday off work, if desired (9/80 schedule)
