Responsibilities / Qualifications The following duties and responsibilities reflect the expectations of this job and are not all inclusive. Essential functions include the most significant tasks and form the core of the role:

Maintain and uphold the Core Values and Mission Statement of MPH.

Diagnose, perform surgery, and treat patients.

Maintain excellent client communication and accurate medical records.

Review medical records, estimates, or discharge instructions with clients; follow up as needed.

Set standards of care/protocols for medical and surgical areas; participate in practice growth and financial oversight.

Collaborate with the practice manager on administrative matters; mentor team members and contribute to training programs.

Lead and participate in a positive, professional, and collaborative clinical environment.

Proficiency in a range of skills including laboratory, pharmacy, radiology, surgery, dental, and nursing.

Ability to handle fast-paced environments, medical crises, and stressful situations with composure.

Perform routine injections (SQ, IM, IV) and explain prescriptions and anesthesia considerations to clients.

Maintain knowledge of drug usage, dosages, side effects, and anesthesia recovery states.

Proficiency with practice management software.

Required Education and Experience

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.

Licensure in good standing to practice in the state.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50+ pounds with assistance.

Ability to endure extended periods of standing/walking on hard surfaces.

Ability to work in noisy environments with animal and equipment sounds; exposure to anesthesia, radiation, and other hazards.

Hearing and vision abilities required for client communication and medical tasks; good hand-eye coordination for clinical work.
