Position Purpose:
Associate Veterinarian – The Village Veterinarian
The Village Veterinarian has been proudly serving our community since 1996 as a trusted small animal outpatient clinic. Our mission is to be a reliable pet-care resource for local families while empowering pet owners through education and compassionate care.
We are a Gold Certified Cat Friendly Practice with a warm, spotless, and inviting facility designed to ensure comfort for both pets and people. Our loyal clients appreciate our dedication to providing superior care, clear communication, and a true partnership in their pets’ health.
As an Associate Veterinarian, you will join a collaborative and supportive team focused on high-quality medicine and personalized service. We offer an exceptional work-life balance with hours that support your personal well-being: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and no weekends.

Essential Responsibilities
Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.
Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.
Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.
Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.
Provide counsel around pet end of life care.
Maintain patients’ medical records.
Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.
Requirements / Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.
Appropriate state licensure.
Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.
Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.
