We currently have three full-time veterinarians and three licensed vet technicians, and we pride ourselves on being thoughtful, high-touch, client-educating, family-oriented practitioners. Position
Position : Full-Time Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) Location : 408 Highland Avenue, Iowa City, IA 52240, USA Job Type : Full-time We are seeking a dedicated, collaborative DVM to join our team in Iowa City. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on clinical experience and a passion for providing exceptional care to companion animals. Experience & Qualifications
Must hold an active DVM license in good standing. Experience required—candidates with 2+ years of clinical practice are preferred. Strong diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic skills across a variety of small animal medical conditions. Excellent communication skills and a client-education mindset. Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries. Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples, and interpret results. Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options. Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed. Provide counsel around pet end-of-life care. Maintain patients’ medical records. Ensure compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statutes, policies, and procedures. Requirements/Qualifications
DVM/VMD degree from an accredited AVMA institution. Appropriate state licensure. Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD registration. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional and courteous presentation with staff and clients. Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance. Benefits Offered
