$61.59 / hour Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Active unencumbered Computed Tomography Technologist Iowa state license Graduate from a fully accredited Radiology Technologist program One year of work experience as a Computed Tomography Technologist One year of EMR experience ARRT Certification SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks. Requirements: COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster Responsibilities: Using computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues. Appropriately positioning patients to scan specific areas of their bodies. Performing regular warm-up sequences on the CT scanner to prolong the life of the X-ray tubes. Sterilizing radiologic equipment to ensure the safety of patients. Correctly interpreting doctors' written scanning instructions. Administering radiocontrast agents to patients to enhance the visibility of internal organs and tissues. Evaluating CT scans to determine whether they are of good technical quality.
