As a CT Technologist, you will produce cross-section images of internal organs and tissues for the diagnosis of various medical issues. You will interpret scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, prepare and operate the equipment, and position the patient to capture the appropriate images. This role is critical to patient treatment within the Cleveland Clinic system.
Responsibilities
Acquire patients chart data/requisition and review to determine correct room setup and identify any specific medical problems, contraindications to the study, and verify that the study ordered correlates to diagnostic needs.
Educate patients regarding procedure, equipment, and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation.
Maintain all aspects of the CT area including technical and clerical components to ensure proper quality assurance results and required documentation.
Minimum qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
Registered Technologist (R.T.(R)) in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Certification in Computed Tomography (R.T.(R) (CT) (ARRT)) within one year of hire
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and related pathologic processes
Preferred qualifications
One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
