Our Labor and Delivery is located at Butterworth hospital. We deliver the most babies of any hospital in Michigan with an average of 8,000 births a year. The unit consists of 28 private birthing suites, 11-bed triage, 3 OR suites, and 5 recovery bays. Our staff consist of RN, Anesthesia RNs, Nurse Techs, OB Techs and Unit Secretaries. Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes. Qualifications
Associates in Nursing Required Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required within 90 days Fetal Heart Monitoring Certification Required within 1.5 years How Corewell Health cares for you
