is seeking a Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations for immediate hire at our Norfolk Southern (NS) Ayer, MA rail terminal. This role involves overseeing the unloading of automobiles from railcars. PRS is an independent contractor of the railroad, not affiliated with the railroad itself. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training will be provided. Rail Terminal Supervisor of Operations
coordinates terminal activities to meet customer service standards, following company policies and directives from senior management. Essential Responsibilities: Manage scheduling and coordination of automotive operations at the terminal. Ensure personnel meet productivity and service level goals. Prioritize safety, productivity, and efficiency; manage equipment availability; ensure security within the intermodal yard. Support safety policies and uphold high standards among employees. Handle automotive freight cost-effectively while maintaining service standards. Coordinate inventory and auto placement for accuracy and security. Determine staffing needs, assign duties, and manage personnel schedules. Maintain regular communication with senior management to improve productivity and control costs. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Valid driver's license, ability to pass background and drug tests. Knowledge of the railroad industry through vocational training, apprenticeship, or supervisory experience. Ability to mediate conflicts and resolve issues among team members. Proven managerial skills are preferred, including leadership, employee training, and understanding of industry regulations and bargaining agreements. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Benefits: Medical benefits after 60 days, with additional benefits starting after 90 days.
