Job Description The Business Development Manager helps develop strategic relationships with partners or potential customers. Assists in building a strong pipeline of new customers and projects in accounts through direct or indirect contact and prospecting. Works with local teams to coordinate and implement strategies to foster and develop existing and new business and support service line expansions.
Duties And Responsibilities
Prospect, identify, initiate, develop and nurture business relationships and opportunities in assigned territory/market/target accounts to generate new business
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network
Research and build relationships with new clients, and foster meetings between client decision makers and company leaders
Manage and qualify inbound warm leads to create sales-ready leads and opportunities
Develop proposals that address the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives
Handle objections by clarifying and negotiating to reach a positive conclusion
Establish and maintain ongoing client relationships and participate in site visits
Match customer needs to our solutions using appropriate sales strategies
Support management functions of the team as needed
Business Development Planning
Attend industry events and conferences; provide feedback on market and creative trends
Present to mid and senior-level management on business trends to develop new services and channels
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to increase sales
Develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators
Management and Research
Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data accuracy
Collaborate with local teams to support location goals and forecasts
Track activity on accounts and help close deals to meet targets
Work with marketing to fulfill prerequisites (e.g., prequalification or vendor lists) in a timely manner
Research and understand the company’s people and capabilities
Align with the company’s goals to enhance performance
Qualifications
2-3 years of prior lead generation or inside sales experience
Healthcare sales within home and community-based services preferred
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Ability to meet or exceed targets and quotas
Self-starter with strong organizational, decision-making, problem-solving and creative thinking skills
Ability to multi-task and adapt priorities; effective as both an individual and team contributor
High work ethic, integrity, and readiness to succeed
Resilience in the face of setbacks; willingness to learn
Team player who supports others when needed
Additional Information
Benefits are available to eligible employees on the first of the month after 30 days of employment and include:
Base salary ranges between $90,000 and $120,000 plus quarterly bonus potential
