Our client is a premier, global automotive supplier looking for a
Senior Manager Customs & Trade Compliance, Americas . The Senior Manager, Customs & Compliance, will be responsible for ensuring the USA, Mexico, and Brazil comply with all U.S. Customs and Border Protection regulations governing import and export activities.
Must hold a bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in a comparable role.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field from an accredited institution
Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role (7‑10 years preferred)
Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified Export Specialist (CES) preferred
Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills with strict attention to detail
In‑depth knowledge of U.S./Mexico/Brazil Customs and Border Protection regulations
Working knowledge of CBP portals and website
Key Responsibilities
Team Lead of US/MX/BR Customs Team
Lead the US/MX/BR Customs Team and report to VP Customs & Foreign Trade
Significant support in IMMEX process / Mexico
Strategic support and advice to mitigate customs costs (e.g., section 301 tariffs)
Support in roll‑out of global projects (Export Controls, Free Trade Agreements, etc.)
Review legal changes and implementation
Advise on complex supply chains / strategic decisions
Support external and internal customs audits and self‑assessments
Communicate with customs authorities and external service providers
Develop, monitor and report quarterly on KPIs and ACE reports
Support strategy regarding punitive tariffs and trade barriers (e.g., section 301 duties)
