Purchasing Agent

to join our team. Position Summary:

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing and procuring electrical materials, tools, and equipment required for our projects. This role requires a deep understanding of electrical components, strong vendor negotiation skills, and the ability to manage warehouse operations and a delivery driver efficiently. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced in the electrical contracting industry. Key Responsibilities:

Source, negotiate, and purchase electrical materials, tools, and equipment at the best value without compromising quality. Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Track inventory levels and manage reordering processes to ensure material availability. Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, organizing, and staging materials for job sites. Supervise and coordinate the schedules of delivery drivers to ensure timely job site deliveries. Maintain and update purchase orders, delivery schedules, and inventory systems. Collaborate with project managers and foremen to forecast material needs and adjust procurement strategies accordingly. Ensure proper storage of materials and tools, and uphold warehouse safety and cleanliness standards. Assist in resolving any issues related to delayed shipments, backorders, or material discrepancies. Qualifications:

Minimum 2–5 years of purchasing experience within the electrical contracting or related construction industry. Strong knowledge of electrical materials, components, and tools. Proven ability to manage warehouse operations and logistics. Experience working with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills. Valid driver’s license and clean driving record preferred.
