Overview

R. W. Harden & Associates, Inc. (RWH&A) is seeking a talented and motivated hydrogeologist with 5+ years’ experience for full-time employment in Austin, Texas. Since 1972, RWH&A has provided hydrogeologic consulting services primarily related to the evaluation of aquifer systems and the effective and efficient development of groundwater resources. We are seeking to grow our team by adding a qualified experienced hydrogeologist and project manager with exceptional interpersonal skills who can foster a strong rapport with RWH&A staff, clients, field and engineering teams, and individuals at every level of the organization and has a desire to work in a small office environment. Responsibilities

Research of geologic and hydrogeologic data from federal, state, county, and local records, academia, and RWH&A digital and paper files.

Attendance and participation of regulatory, client, and staff project meetings.

Support and development of groundwater flow conceptual and numerical models.

Preparation of reports and technical memorandums including associated figures, charts, and tables.

Project supervision and coordination of RWH&A staff, clients, engineering teams, and well drilling/pump contractors.

Preparation of technical specifications and contract documents for exploration drilling and aquifer testing programs, well construction, and selection of appropriate pumping equipment.

Preparation of contract documents and proposals including scope of work, estimated budgets, and projected schedules.

Preparation of project monthly progress reports and review of invoices, routine updating of project completion schedules, and coordination with clients and field engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Possess excellent written and oral communication skills.

5+ years of hydrogeologic investigation experience and reporting.

Experience in project management and business development.

Proficiency with the MODFLOW family of groundwater modeling codes.

Proficiency with ESRI software (GIS) and Microsoft products.

Experience with computer programming (such as Python, .Net, R, or other similar language) for data analyses and model development.

Experience working with regulatory and state agencies and permitting requirements.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in geosciences, engineering, or related field.

Minimum 5+ years’ experience as a hydrogeologist and project manager.

Licensed professional geoscientist and/or engineer in the state of Texas.
