The Opportunity
As the
Project Manager , you will have the opportunity to: Manage all aspects of small Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC)/Service projects, including risk to cost, schedule, quality Be responsible for the day-to-day successful execution of contracted engineering, procurement, and construction scope in the areas of performance, financial metrics, planning, schedule, quality, contractual compliance, safety, and client satisfaction Provide for the successful staffing of the project Manage and lead small teams of multi-discipline professionals Coordinate and integrate the activities associated with the engineering, procurement, construction, and startup elements of the project team, including the activities of all third party companies contributing to the initiative

The Team
Black & Veatch’s Governments & Communities focuses on infrastructure needs of municipalities, state and local governments, and specialized physical and digital infrastructure solutions for government and federal agencies. You will provide infrastructure for community benefit.
Key Responsibilities
Manages small, minimally complex projects. Manages one to a few clients and/or projects. Obtains new/repeat business on small projects. Manages minimal risk.
Management Responsibilities
Acts as a project manager. The individual comprising the project team may vary by project.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements which may include: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
Typically 5 years experience.
Work Environment/Physical Demands
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments. Typical office environment, construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards, and physical requirements including lifting up to 40 pounds.
