Mason and Main has an immediate opening for an experienced Maintenance Technician. This brand new high-rise of 550 units near downtown Seattle focuses on delivering high-quality service and community-focused living. The Maintenance Technician performs technical and mechanical work to ensure buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and functionality. Responsibilities
Complete resident service requests and repairs in a timely manner (including appliance repairs). Prepare apartments for new move-ins by completing the “make-ready” process. Maintain cleanliness of exterior buildings and parking areas. Assist with vendor management and other duties. Perform routine maintenance and inspections for equipment. Complete work orders and preventative maintenance according to policies, safety standards, and codes. Prepare vacant homes for leasing by performing pre-move-out inspections, creating punch lists, scheduling vendors, obtaining supplies, and inspecting completed work. Manage materials and inventory, including tracking usage and reordering as needed. Document service requests accurately to enable tracking and reporting. Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities including cleaning and minor painting as needed. Support cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible and using materials efficiently. Comply with safety and risk-management policies and attend safety meetings. Periodically inspect contractor work to verify quality and scope compliance. Qualifications
Knowledgeable in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment. Experience with painting, entry-level carpentry, appliance repair, and basic plumbing. High level of professionalism in manner and dress. Excellent communication skills (read, write, and communicate effectively). Proficient in MS Office Suite. EPA certifications Type 1 and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (for Certified Service Technicians). All certifications as required by state and local jurisdictions. Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property depending on property size. Compensation and Benefits
Hourly range: $24.00 - $27.00. Additional Compensation:
In addition to base salary, eligibility for bonus programs based on performance may apply (varies by corporate vs onsite roles). Robust Benefits Offered:
