Procurement Manager

Base Pay Range $60,000.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr
Position Overview Reported to the Director of Operations, the Procurement Manager will strengthen and optimize Baby2Baby’s procurement processes to support rapid growth and expanding partnerships. The role will implement formalized procedures and SOPs, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across all stages of purchasing—from sourcing and vendor negotiation to tracking, delivery, and reporting.
Duties and Responsibilities
Support creation and implementation of formalized procurement procedures and SOPs.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, including overseas suppliers, ensuring compliance with tariffs and import regulations.
Build and maintain strong, strategic vendor relationships to secure favorable pricing, quality, and reliable delivery timelines.
Partner closely with all departments to anticipate needs, align timelines, and provide a high-level view of purchasing priorities.
Collaborate with the warehouse team to align procurement timelines with storage capacity, distribution schedules, and inventory protocols.
Guide the organization in utilizing emerging technologies, including AI-driven tools, to improve forecasting and decision-making.
Identify opportunities unique to the nonprofit sector—negotiated rates, donated goods, discounts, and value-in-kind exchanges—to maximize purchasing power.
Monitor procurement budgets and spending, providing accurate forecasting and actionable insights.
Maintain accurate procurement data to enable reporting on trends and vendor performance.
Provide onsite involvement at Baby2Baby events and distributions as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree.
5+ years of procurement, purchasing, or supply chain experience.
Demonstrated ability to source and negotiate with vendors, including overseas suppliers.
Strong analytical skills with forecasting, budget monitoring, and data management.
Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; collaborate across departments.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and willingness to learn new technologies.
Independent work, sound judgment, and proactive issue resolution.
Strong commitment to Baby2Baby’s mission and values.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in the nonprofit or humanitarian sector with understanding of procurement opportunities.
Knowledge of inventory management ERP systems and warehouse operations.
Experience managing large-scale procurement initiatives with multiple vendors and stakeholders.
Familiarity with AI-driven tools to enhance procurement efficiency.
