Overview
Mass General Brigham/Renew Wentworth-Douglass Hospital – Registered Nurse (RN) role. Accountable for interpreting the plan of medical care, assessing patients' clinical decision-making regarding nursing care, assuring nursing care is provided in a safe and competent manner, providing individualized nursing care, and evaluating nursing care for groups of patients. This position answers questions about patient care and coordinates with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality outcomes. This role may require patient care responsibilities as part of daily duties. Essential Functions
Maintain accurate, detailed reports, and records. Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects. Record patients' medical information and vital signs. Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' conditions. Consult and coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Modify patient treatment plans as indicated by patients' responses and conditions. Qualifications
Education
Associate's Degree in Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred. Licenses and Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN) - State License required. Basic Life Support (BLS) required. ACLS preferred. NRP preferred. PALS preferred. Experience: Clinical nursing experience 0-1 year required. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Familiarity with practical nursing principles for patient care; able to care for different age groups; maintain confidentiality; knowledge of medical terminology; excellent verbal and written communication; ability to screen and triage acute patients. Physical Requirements
