Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is the premier rehabilitation provider in Connecticut, offering rehabilitation services across the continuum including acute care hospitals, long term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and community settings. We operate over 30 outpatient locations with specialists in oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, and are committed to high-quality, customer-focused outcomes. We are seeking a dedicated and caring Physical Therapist (PT) to join our outpatient office on the campus of Hartford Hospital and the Bone & Joint Institute. The location offers proximity to a state-of-the-art employee fitness center and provides care coordination with system providers in a team focused on health equity. The office includes Occupational and Speech Therapy in a multidisciplinary setting. Position Description

The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates, determines treatment strategies, and delivers or delegates services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain, with emphasis on physical dysfunction. Responsibilities include evaluation skills and techniques, patient analysis, and therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise, and other procedures to maximize functional independence. Evaluation areas include strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait, and activities of daily living. Responsibilities

• Independently evaluate patients and determine appropriate treatment plans and modalities. • Deliver or delegate therapeutic interventions to improve physical function and reduce pain. • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care and ensure access to services within the Hartford HealthCare system. Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Current State of CT Physical Therapy license required or active temporary license at time of hire Previous experience as a Physical Therapist preferred; open to well-qualified new graduates We take great care of careers.
