Benefits: Competitive salary Health insurance Paid time off Veterinary Technician (CVT) – Humane Society for Greater Nashua Serving Shelter Pets & Our Community The Humane Society for Greater Nashua is looking for a compassionate and skilled Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our dedicated team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical skills with a mission-driven purpose—helping shelter animals receive the best care possible while also serving pets in our community through low-cost clinics. What You’ll Do: · Provide high-quality medical care to shelter animals, from intake exams to ongoing treatments. · Assist in spay/neuter surgeries, dentals with extractions, and other procedures. · Support our Community Clinics—including vaccine clinics, wellness checks, and spay/neuter programs. · Administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and perform laboratory tests. · Educate adopters and pet owners on proper animal care. · Maintain accurate medical records and ensure a clean, safe clinical environment. What We’re Looking For: · Certified Veterinary Technician (or eligibility to become certified in NH). · Strong technical and animal handling skills. Required skills include ability to draw blood, place IV catheters, prep patients for surgery, perform dental cleanings and take dental x-rays, position patients for radiographs, perform basic in-house laboratory work, and interact with clients and other Humane Society Staff in a professional manner. · Team player with excellent communication and client service abilities. · Compassion for both animals and people from all walks of life.
