Responsibilities

Medical history and physical examinations, including identification of acute and chronic medical problems, medication needs, and diagnostic plans. Performance and/or interpretation of routine diagnostic studies, including venipuncture, arterial puncture, common radiologic studies, EKG tracings, and PAP smears. Performance of routine therapeutic procedures including injections, immunizations, wound care, suturing, incision and drainage of superficial infections, and insertion of nasogastric tubes and bladder catheters. Counseling of patients regarding physical and mental health, diet, disease prevention, health promotion, safe sexual practice, and reproductive planning. Collaboration with the supervising Physician in the implementation of a plan of treatment, including the prescription of non-psychotropic medications, and documentation in the medical record of diagnostic studies, ongoing clinical status, and therapeutic plans. Participation in life-saving measures in cases of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Qualifications

Current New York State registration as a Physician Assistant. Current certification issued by the NCCPA. For Behavioral Health functions: Demonstration of proficiency. For auricular acupuncture: Certification of completion of an approved course of training. Wages and Benefits

Annual Base Salary:

$131,127 - $174,836, based on 40-hour work week. Total compensation:

The annual total value of compensation package is estimated at $144,239 and $192,319, which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution and other factors as set forth below. 401(k) Company Contribution: 3% immediately vested; after one year, 7% more.
