The Department of Pathology at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine is seeking a surgical pathologist to join our expanding team. Candidates must have an MD degree or equivalent and be AP or AP/CP Board-certified/eligible. The successful candidate will need to obtain a medical license in Illinois. Essential qualities include strong diagnostic skills, excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, and a strong work ethic. A record or potential for academic and scholarly achievement, indicating a commitment to an academic career, is desirable. The candidate will join a cohesive team of subspecialized surgical pathologists handling approximately 35,000 surgical specimens annually. There are ample opportunities for clinical and translational research, as well as multidisciplinary collaboration with investigators at the Cardinal Bernardin Cancer Center. Loyola Medicine, part of Trinity Health, is a nationally ranked academic quaternary care system based in Chicago's western suburbs.
