Responsibilities Ascension St. Vincent Evansville is looking for an
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
for our Hospital Medicine team. This is a great opportunity to partner with Ascension St. Vincent Evansville to provide medical services to patients.
Position Highlights:
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner required
7 on/7 off schedule
Responsibilities:
Obtain patient history and perform assessments through observation, interview, and examination. Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic studies. Conduct preventative health assessments, screenings, immunizations, and patient care.
Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions, referring to other healthcare providers or community resources as needed.
Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers on preventative health, treatment options, and available community resources.
Document healthcare delivery and nursing processes according to standards and policies.
Requirements Licensure/Certification/Registration:
BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer. Accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Nurse Practitioner prescriptive authority credential from the Indiana Board of Nursing within 6 months (180 days) of hire or transfer.
Registered Nurse credential from the Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire or transfer.
Education:
Master's degree in Nursing required.
