AdventHealth Tampa is a faith‑based not‑for‑profit 626‑bed tertiary‑level acute care hospital located in the uptown district of Tampa, Florida, specializing in advanced cardiovascular medicine, neuroscience, digestive health, orthopedics, women’s services, pediatrics, oncology, endocrinology, bariatrics, wound healing, sleep medicine and general surgery including minimally invasive and robot‑assisted procedures. GME programs on the hospital campus include general surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, internal medicine and transitional year. Value You’ll Bring to the Team
Checks supplies and equipment needed for surgical procedure Scrubs, gowns, and gloves Sets up sterile table with instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications/solutions needed for procedure displays knowledge of procedure and patient positioning Performs appropriate counts with circulator prior to the operation and before incision is closed Gowns and gloves for surgeon and assistants Helps in draping sterile field Passes instruments, etc., to surgeon during procedure Maintains highest standard of sterile technique during procedure Prepares sterile dressings Qualifications
High School Graduate or GED Successful Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program American Heart BLS certification Current CST / Certified Surgical Assistant Equal Opportunity Statement
