Responsibilities
Deliver prescribed ionizing radiation treatment based on the radiation oncologist’s directions, including CT simulation and technology.
Maintain high standards of patient care, safety, confidentiality, and professional conduct.
Adhere to organizational values and employee expectations.
Experience and License Requirements
Minimum of 2 years experience as a radiation therapist in a progressive environment preferred.
Certification or eligibility for certification by ARRT in Radiation Therapy (renewed annually).
CPR-BLS certification.
Key Competencies
Verification Simulation, CT Simulation, Radiation Treatment Delivery, On Call/Calc Review.
Work Conditions
Exposure to radiation, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases.
Must be able to hear, speak, see, smell, distinguish colors, write legibly, read, and pay attention to detail.
Availability for weekday and weekend call.
Physical Demands
Ability to lift, push, pull 20-50 lbs frequently.
