Travel Nurse Details
Assignment Type: Travel Nursing (13 weeks)
Location: Brooklyn, Maryland (21225) – Baltimore area
Facility: Magnet Certified hospital with a supportive interdisciplinary healthcare team
Unit: Labor & Delivery (LDRP model)
Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
Hours per Week: 36
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,710 - $1,830
Start Date: October 13, 2025
End Date: January 12, 2026
Patient Ratio: 1:1-2
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float: May float to Postpartum/Couplet Care and Level II NICU feeder/grower assignments
Scrubs Provided
First Time Travel Nurses Accepted
Registered Nurse Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (2 years considered for exceptional candidates)
Charge nurse and preceptor experience required
Active Registered Nurse license (Maryland or compact state)
BLS and NRP certifications required
Intermediate AWHONN certification required
C-EFM through NCC required, or must register during compliance phase or within first two weeks of assignment
Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
Two supervisor references required
Experience circulating for C-sections and proven skills in Antepartum, Intrapartum, Postpartum, and Couplet Care
Preferred: ACLS, STABLE, C-EFM through NCC, community hospital and trauma experience, triage skills, proficiency in sterile vaginal exams, Baby Friendly hospital experience
Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and couplet care
Circulate for C-sections and assist with high-risk deliveries in a clinical setting
Serve as charge nurse and preceptor for new staff and travel nurses
Perform triage of obstetrical patients and conduct sterile vaginal exams
Support breastfeeding, lactation, and provide newborn assessments
Administer medications and manage IVs, including magnesium sulfate therapy and oxytocin infusions
Monitor and interpret fetal heart rate patterns using EFM and IUPC
Float to postpartum/couplet care and Level II NICU feeder/grower assignments as needed
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and social services
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including mandatory flu vaccination
