Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are offering a $10K sign on bonus to new hires who meet the eligibility requirements. Medical‑Surgical 4 West provides high‑quality patient centered care to individuals with a variety of medical conditions and surgical needs. Patients on the unit may be hospitalized for surgery, illness, or testing and observation with various diagnoses. The unit mission is to promote healing, ensure patient safety and enhance recovery through evidence‑based practices, interdisciplinary collaboration and compassionate care.
As a Medical Surgical Nurse at SJHMC, you’ll excel in your nursing career by providing care to patients admitted to our unit. Most of your patients are funneled in from other units, providing you with the opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac, telemetry, orthopedics, neurology, critical care, surgical services, and emergency. Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others— with a patient‑first mindset. Responsibilities
Deliver care to 4–6 patients per shift.
Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs and chart with timely documentation.
Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy and imaging.
Potential to be cross‑trained into Medical/Surgical Telemetry.
Qualifications Experience One (1) year of RN experience within applicable clinical specialty.
Education ADN. BSN Preferred.
Licensure An active Arizona RN license or a Compact State RN license. American Heart Association BLS.

Pay Range $35.00 – $58.63 /hour
