Location: Banner Gateway Medical Center, Mesa, Arizona Work Shift

Varied; schedule includes days and nights. Coverage for PTO, sick calls, or additional needs. Hours 7am to 5pm or 7pm to 7am as needed. Position Summary

This position performs prescribed procedures in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols. Ensures optimal care/treatment to patient population. Core Functions

Performs procedures by following and verifying referring providers’ orders. Uses independent judgment and applies learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures. Educates patients/families regarding procedure and/or treatment to be performed. Demonstrates professional behavior/conduct in all interactions; fosters teamwork, efficient use of resources and quality patient outcomes. Produces high quality images and prepares/presents them with other pertinent patient information for timely interpretation. Prepares and maintains accurate documentation. Demonstrates competence in performing prescribed invasive/interventional procedures if applicable in accordance with established policies. Performs and evaluates equipment quality control measurements. Troubleshoots and notifies appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance. Maintains a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors. Adheres to safety policies. Accountable for ethical, legal, and professional responsibilities related to the radiology practice, including maintaining confidentiality of all work information. Assures efficient workflow of the department. Monitors and maintains an adequate inventory of supplies to ensure non-interruption of services. Independently performs prescribed procedures with internal and external customers as appropriate to the healthcare team and regulatory bodies. Minimum Qualifications

Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited Radiologic Technology program. National Certification from ARRT or NMTCB (CNMT) as applicable. State Licensure for AZ, WY, NV (Radiography or Nuclear Medicine and CT license prior to hire; not required in Colorado). Advanced Certification in Computed Tomography within 18 months of hire (ARRT-CT or NMTCB-CT). BLS certification required. Typically two years of clinical experience. Strong communication, human relations, data analysis, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications
