Job Summary
Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images used to diagnose medical conditions. Leads staff activities with professional and independent judgment. Acts as an expert clinician and leader/resource to the healthcare team. Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience: Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred Five years' technical experience: Required Two years' leadership experience: Preferred Licenses/Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA Advanced certification in CT: Required in OR and HI; Preferred in CA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Fluoroscopy license: Preferred in CA and OR Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R) or ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT): Required Essential Functions
Prepare patients for CT procedures, explain the process, and position patients to obtain the requested images. Plan daily patient workload, manage staff, assign resources, monitor performance, and oversee schedules. Assist manager with hiring, evaluation, promotion, and termination decisions; ensure adequate staffing. Serve as technical leader on daily tasks, mentor staff, coordinate work assignments, and provide input on hiring/promotion decisions. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
