MD or DO from an accredited medical school Board-certified or eligible in emergency medicine (ABEM or ABOEM) Active or eligible Texas medical license DEA certification Strong clinical and diagnostic skills; ability to work independently Facility Highlights
Certified Level IV trauma center Annual visits: 11,242; patient rate: 1.34/hour 24-hour physician coverage with 12-hour shifts On-site laboratory and imaging services 10 inpatient rooms, 2 trauma rooms, isolation room Ability to transfer to UT Health Tyler Level 1 trauma center if needed Total beds: 130 About UT Health East Texas
