AFC Urgent Care Temple is a walk‑in clinic dedicated to meeting immediate healthcare needs for non‑life threatening illnesses and injuries. Open seven days a week, our clinic offers a range of services including flu, Covid, strep, RSV, UTI, and STD testing, as well as pediatrics, physicals, X‑ray imaging, workplace injury treatment, and DOT physicals. We accept insurance, Medicare, and all Texas Medicaid, treating both children and adults. Our medical team prioritizes your health and overall well‑being.
Role Description This is a full‑time on‑site role for a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician's Assistant (PA) located in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The NP/PA will be responsible for providing high‑quality patient care, conducting patient examinations, diagnosing and treating illnesses and injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications. Additionally, the role includes educating patients about their health conditions and maintaining accurate medical records.
Qualifications
Strong clinical skills in patient examination, diagnosis, and treatment
Proficiency in ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
Excellent communication skills for patient education and collaboration with medical team
Experience in prescribing medications and managing patient care
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant license in the state of Texas
Certifications in BLS and ACLS are preferred
Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine is a plus
DOT Certification preferred
