CHI . As a Nuclear Medicine Tech at CHI St Vincent, you will help capture usable diagnostic images from patients so the Radiologist can accurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. You will collaborate with the Imaging team and other multidisciplinary teams on nursing units, working in a fast-paced, high-volume patient care environment. You are efficient, compassionate, and dedicated to providing excellent care. You will perform a variety of scans of particular organs to furnish diagnostic information and operate Nuclear Medicine equipment to produce images that measure the concentration of radioactive isotopes in specific body areas, always prioritizing patient safety and radiation safety techniques. You should combine technical knowledge with compassion for patients trusting in our care. Responsibilities
Prepares stock solutions of radiopharmaceuticals and materials; calculates and administers doses under the direct supervision of a Radiologist Calibrates and draws up radiopharmaceutical materials for administration to patients; formulates radiopharmaceutical materials from pre-prepared kits. Calibrate instruments and review calibration data to detect trends indicating instrument malfunction. Calculate data to include results of patient studies and radioactive decay Performs diagnostic exams on patients as prescribed by physician Uses scanners or scintillation cameras for detection of radiation emitted to produce images of organs Qualifications
Registered Radiographic Technologist, certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) ASCP or NMTCB in Nuclear Medicine Technology, or registry eligible Licensure to practice in the State of Arkansas Bachelor's Degree required No previous experience is required; new graduates are welcome to apply Where You'll Work
