Job Description Maintains a professional image and exhibits excellent customer relations to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers in accordance with our Service Excellence Standards and Core Values. Collaborates with OR/Med-Surg/OB Directors for McLeod Loris & Seacoast in conducting educational needs assessments. Serves as resource to staff. Plans and conducts Basic EKG course at least once per year. Promotes a healthy work environment by engaging with staff, directors, & physicians. Participates in staff huddles monthly and uses feedback for educational planning. Reports trends, problems, or unusual activities to the director promptly. Demonstrates proper medication handling and storage. Applies knowledge of and follows standard work for OR/Med-Surg/OB procedures. Practices patient confidentiality per HIPAA/EMTALA regulations. Teaches and coordinates necessary classes. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards. Seeks feedback from MDs on educational responsibilities and attends relevant training. Maintains a safe, clean, organized environment, aiming for consistent observation scores. Handles customer complaints promptly using the GIFT approach: Give sincere apology, Identify with the complaint, Fix/follow-up, Thank them. Recognizes problems, proposes solutions, and participates in implementation. Documents professionally and clearly. Functions effectively in crises, managing frustrations appropriately. Engages in professional development and continuing education. Creates a caring, compassionate environment for patients, families, visitors, and staff. Uses time effectively, prioritizes tasks, and is punctual. Adheres to policies on absence/tardiness and adjusts schedules as needed. Assists with annual skills fairs, BLS, ACLS, and other classes. Supports the development of alternative educational methods like webinars and CBTs. Submits reports as required. Licenses/Certifications/Education:
BSN or equivalent leadership experience, current unrestricted RN license in SC, current BLS Instructor, and ACLS instructor status within 6 months of hire. About Us:
