Overview

Spring 2026 semester teaching opportunities for the position of Part-Time Adjunct Faculty at Arizona College of Nursing in Falls Church, VA. These are on-site, in-person teaching opportunities that start on or after January 1, 2025. Teaching areas include potential to teach Clinicals, Labs, and/or Didactic courses with weekday daytime availability required. Responsibilities

Core Nursing: Develops, implements, teaches, and evaluates the philosophy and objectives of the nursing education program; designs, implements, teaches, evaluates, and revises the curriculum; documents actions in faculty/committee meetings; leads simulation learning experiences in the Nursing Lab. Didactic: Teach and evaluate students in the classroom; design an effective learner environment; support students’ progression academically and socially; use varied assessment tools; participate in curriculum design, program evaluation, and program revision; collaborate with Course Lead Faculty on student success plans and remediation of at-risk students. Clinical: Facilitate application of theory to clinical practice; participate in healthcare facility orientation; maintain knowledge of program outcomes and course objectives; communicate effectively with clinical staff; identify and address clinical concerns; provide ongoing feedback and maintain student performance records; complete clinical site evaluations; adhere to program and facility policies. Additional duties: Plan, teach, and evaluate classroom, clinical, and skills labs; connect students to college resources; participate in advisement; mentor students in soft skills (leadership, ethics, communication, critical thinking, teamwork, responsibility); attend orientation and faculty meetings; contribute to policy development; uphold FERPA guidelines. Ensure evidence of education and experience to teach assigned courses and participate in admissions, progression, retention, and graduation policy development. Qualifications

Graduate degree required; if the graduate degree is not in nursing, must have a Bachelor’s degree in nursing and a graduate degree in a related discipline from an accredited program (CHEA/USDE recognized). Minimum of three years of professional RN experience providing direct patient care; previous teaching in a RN program preferred. Current unencumbered RN license or applicable multi-state licensure for the teaching location. Certified Nurse Educator certification and national certification in area of nursing specialty preferred. Active engagement in professional development to maintain teaching competence. Subject to state BON/BRN/HEB regulations where the campus is located. Job Details
