Heartstrings Pet Hospice supports pets and their families during one of life’s most challenging moments by helping pets pass peacefully in the comfort of their own home. We are established and owned by veterinarians and prioritize meaningful connections with pet families, colleagues, and the community. Base pay range: $75,000.00/yr - $105,000.00/yr What we offer
Average of 3-4 appointments per day Gratitude and appreciation from families in every appointment Mobile practice freedom without being tied to a clinic Comprehensive training and ongoing mentorship Work-life balance with schedule flexibility (2-5 days per week; most appointments 9 am–5 pm) Team building and retreat activities Responsibilities
Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets Guide families in end-of-life decisions for their pets Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, acting as an extension of their care Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) 1+ year of experience as a practicing veterinarian Valid driver’s license Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs assisted Capacity to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach during the workday Comfortable with prolonged driving Demonstrated manual dexterity and steady hands for medical tools Benefits
