The Echocardiographer performs and assists with a variety of echocardiographic tests and other related duties, working under limited supervision to ensure high quality diagnostic studies. Reports to the Team Leader of Cardio diagnostics.
Qualifications
Associate’s Degree in Health Care, Bachelor’s Degree in a health related field preferred.
CPR Certification required.
One to two years previous echo experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
Experience with two-dimensional, m-mode, Doppler, TEE stress testing and stress echo required.
Registered RDCS or eligible for registration. If not registered, candidate is expected to sit for exam within one year.
Minimal computer skills.
