Base pay range NIGHT SHIFT!

The Labor and Delivery nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing process and the delivery of patient care in the L&D setting. The nurse demonstrates the ability to make clinical judgments effectively and efficiently with supervision.

The labor and delivery nurse works with mothers during the final stages of pregnancy, assisting with birthing, monitoring vital signs, and recognizing signs of complications. The nurse is involved in patient education and addresses the psychosocial needs of mothers after delivery, demonstrating critical thinking and coordination skills in patient care management.

Minimum Requirements

Current Registered Nurse license within the state of practice.

One year of Labor and Delivery clinical experience within the last three years (preferred).

Current CPR certification, if applicable.

TB Questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray, if applicable.

Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation).

Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

Must be at least 18 years of age.
