Overview
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a middle school setting within Illinois for the upcoming school year. This contract role provides specialized services to students within a low incidence program, fostering communication development in a collaborative educational environment. Responsibilities
Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to middle school students Manage a caseload of approximately 20 students with low incidence needs Conduct evaluations and develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) while ensuring compliance with documentation standards Collaborate closely with educators, support staff, and families to address student communication goals Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions to support student progress Apply evidence-based practices to enhance student learning and communication outcomes Qualifications
Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required Active Illinois SLP license necessary Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; Clinical Fellows (CFs) will also be considered Experience working with middle school students and/or low incidence populations preferred Strong organizational and communication skills essential Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting Details
Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. Contract position starting at the beginning of the upcoming school year Located in a supportive Illinois school district Compensation
Range from $41.40 to $61.40 per hour Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals
