Our growing Austin office is seeking an
Electrical Engineer
with three to five years of experience in the consulting engineering field, who is passionate about their craft and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. Responsibilities include electrical design for facilities supporting new construction and renovations in collaboration with architects, civil, structural, mechanical and fire protection engineers. Duties include the development of electrical design deliverables including drawings, specifications, calculations, testing requirements, acceptance criteria, and reports. This position will support projects with diverse and technically challenging electrical, controls, and telecommunication systems design for commercial, institutional, alternative energy, military, and industrial projects. The successful candidate will work closely with licensed professional engineers and design professionals to provide training and mentorship. Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university Registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) in electrical engineering required Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering or working towards it (Preferred) Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical design in the AEC industry required Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks with supervision Desire to learn and work with a team of professionals Experience with low voltage systems design is a plus Experience with federal project design is a plus Experience with National Electrical Code, ICC codes, and local code amendments Experience with AutoCAD/REVIT Experience with lighting software (AGI, Visual Lighting) Experience with instrumentation and controls design is a plus Experience with power system analysis software (E-TAP, EasyPower, SKM) is a plus Solid knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office 365 suite, Microsoft Teams, Bluebeam, etc. Detail oriented and organized Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent time management skills This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
