K2 Space Corporation . K2 Space is building large, high-powered spacecraft for the next generation of space development. Backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners, Altimeter Capital, and others, we are raising a substantial amount to mass produce high-powered satellite platforms for missions across LEO to Deep Space. We aim to design spacecraft that can handle multiple orbits and enable future solar system development. If you are a motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and you’re excited about contributing to the success of a groundbreaking Series B space startup, we’d love for you to apply. The Role

You will be responsible for leading the design and development of high-speed mixed-signal electronics hosted on some of the largest, most powerful, and rapidly designed and manufactured satellites deployed in space. In your first 6 months, you will own the core compute electronics for K2’s Mega Class satellite. In your first two years, you will have flown your electronics in space and developed cutting-edge high-speed digital electronics systems. Responsibilities

Design electronics PCBAs for spacecraft including architecture, component selection, circuit board design, board bring-up, and debugging Qualify designs through environmental testing including vibration, shock, thermal, and thermal vacuum testing Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to integrate designs into spacecraft systems and operate hardware in flight Develop test equipment, development PCBAs, and test scripts to support all of the above Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, or related field Experience designing PCBAs using high-speed interfaces (MII), multi-GHz SerDes (e.g., JESD204), DRAM (DDR4), and/or Ethernet Nice to Have

Experience designing multi-layer PCBAs in Altium for high-speed digital applications Experience with digital processors, FPGAs, memory chips, or network switches Experience with programming languages (Python, Rust, C/C++) Experience with component selection for radiation environments Experience with environmental testing for space electronics (thermal, vibration, TVAC, shock, radiation, EMI/EMC) Demonstrated ability to work in a highly cross-functional, fast-paced environment Compensation And Benefits
