About Amigo Amigo builds trust and safety infrastructure for AI in mission‑critical environments. We partner with organizations in healthcare and other regulated sectors to deploy AI systems that operate reliably when the stakes are highest. Our infrastructure enables verification, monitoring, and real‑time oversight—ensuring AI serves people safely at scale. We’ve raised $6.5M from General Catalyst and GSV Ventures. Our team combines expertise in distributed systems, quantitative research, clinical operations, and regulatory environments to build AI that organizations can trust.

About This Role As Amigo’s first Technical Writer, you’ll transform complex AI agent capabilities into clear, compelling documentation that serves both developers and business users. You’ll own the entire documentation experience—from API references and integration guides to best practice playbooks and technical collateral. This role sits at the intersection of engineering, product, and go‑to‑market, directly shaping how customers and partners experience Amigo’s platform. You’ll work closely with our founding team, research engineers, and GTM leads to establish documentation standards, maintain our developer guide, and create the materials that accelerate enterprise adoption.

What You’ll Do

Own developer documentation end‑to‑end: maintain and expand our developer guide, API references, SDK documentation, and integration tutorials

Translate research into readable content: work with our research team to convert technical notes and specifications into public‑facing assets (blog posts, whitepapers, case studies)

Build documentation as product: design information architecture, establish style guides, and create a cohesive user experience across all technical content

Create visual explanations: design diagrams and visual aids for complex system flows and architectural concepts

Enable sales and customer success: create playbooks, best practice guides, slide decks, and technical collateral that help GTM teams close enterprise deals

Maintain accuracy at speed: keep documentation current as features evolve, proactively identify gaps, and ensure consistency across all touchpoints

Test and validate examples: write, test, and maintain code examples that developers can trust and use immediately

Conduct market research: analyze competitor documentation, identify industry best practices, and position Amigo’s technical content strategically

Establish quality standards: create templates, writing guidelines, and processes that scale as the team grows

What We’re Looking For

3+ years of technical writing experience in developer‑facing roles (API docs, SDK guides, integration tutorials)

6+ years total technical experience, including software development, technical program management, or similar roles

Strong technical fluency: comfortable reading code, understanding system architectures, and explaining complex distributed systems concepts

Product‑minded approach: you understand how documentation influences adoption, reduces support load, and accelerates enterprise sales cycles

Sales orientation: experience creating technical collateral that helps close deals—whitepapers, solution briefs, competitive positioning

Self‑directed execution: proven ability to identify documentation gaps, prioritize high‑impact work, and deliver quality results in fast‑moving environments

Information architecture expertise: experience organizing large documentation sets with clear navigation, search, and discoverability

Clear, precise writing: exceptional ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences—from senior engineers to non‑technical decision makers

Healthcare or regulated industries: understanding of compliance, security, and reliability requirements in mission‑critical domains

Collaborative mindset: comfortable working directly with engineers, researchers, and product teams to extract information and validate accuracy
