Overview
Be responsible for a larger role in process optimization projects, leading lean manufacturing initiatives and working independently on complex analyses to support production improvements. This mid-level role is responsible for overseeing efficiency projects, collaborating with other engineers and providing technical expertise in process engineering. Major Duties & Responsibilities
Leads efficiency improvement projects and analyzes complex production workflows. Conducts root cause analyses and design process modifications to enhance productivity. Develops and implements lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and continuous improvement initiatives. Oversees cost reduction projects and provides solutions for capacity and layout challenges. Collaborates closely with operations and maintenance teams to reduce downtime and improve yields. Provides guidance on best practices and methodologies. Works with internal customers to analyze operations, implements process improvements, and develops and maintains labor standards. Has the ability to work with insight, flexibility and confidence in response to challenging and changing circumstances. Designs workflows and production processes to resolve production bottlenecks and inefficiencies, maximizes production reliability and minimizes cost. Project Teams: Works within project teams to ensure projects are delivered in scope, in budget and on time. Provides reporting on projects as needed. Manages the quality outcome of assigned projects, on time and on budget. Provides periodic reporting as directed. Directs and enforces safety policies, standards and ergonomics in all projects. Qualifications
3 - 5 years\' relevant experience of engineering within a poultry or protein processing plant. Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related field Proficiency in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and process optimization tools. AutoCAD skills. Collaboration skills and strong teamwork skills. Demonstrated problem solving skills. Project administration. Internal resource coordination. Presentation skills. Should be able to troubleshoot and re-design existing systems routinely. Work environment includes but is not limited to a normal office environment and operations environment (processing, feed mill, hatchery and wastewater treatment facility). About Us
