What to Expect
The Quality Engineering team is a high impact, high priority and high visibility team that is laser focus on safety critical issues. Within Tesla's Quality Cell Engineering organization, you will have the data gold mines across design, manufacturing, enabling you to design, create and deploy innovative new risk mitigations and issue into production use globally with physical impact that you can see. In this role, you will focus on implementing state of the art monitoring system to improve availability, latency and system health for services worldwide.
What You'll Do
Curate, evaluate and enforce PFMEA/Control Plan sustaining best practices
Refine and enforce incident management response procedure
Review, monitor and resolve system vulnerabilities. This includes driving issue resolution and 8D metrics
Performing data analysis to predict and curb failures before they occur
Planning performance evaluation tests to determine potential production and safety risks
Performing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring failures and recommending corrective action
Collaborating with maintenance teams to develop proactive maintenance strategies that enhance asset reliability
Working with project engineers to ensure the maintainability and reliability of newly installed and modified equipment
What You'll Bring
Degree in quantitative discipline (e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, Statistics, Industrial Engineering) or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability
Strong attention to details and good foresight to envision surrounding risks in the future
Able to work under pressure while collaborating and managing competing demands with tight deadlines
SQL and data query capabilities
Demonstrated knowledge of statistical, mathematical, and engineering concepts. With use of Minitab and/or JMP as a must
Experience using statistical and probability methods and tools
Exceptional organizational and communication skills
Proven leadership skills
Knowledge of engineering concepts such as lifecycle asset management, risk management, configuration management, and loss elimination
