Job Summary Sanford Health is seeking a Physicist in the Radiation Oncology Department at the Sanford Cancer Center in Sioux Falls, SD. The employee will share duties with two Physicists and the Director of Radiation Oncology. The department has four radiation oncologists and four dosimetrists. This position involves all aspects of modern image-guided external beam photon therapy and HDR brachytherapy. HDR experience and AMP status on a RAM license are preferred. Prior Aria/Eclipse experience is also preferred.
Equipment & Software
TrueBeam STX, standard Truebeam, and a TomoTherapy Hi-Art (to be replaced by Truebeam next year)
Department software includes Aria/Eclipse 16.1, RapidArc, RapidPlan, MCO, Portal Dosimetry, RadCalc, Velocity, Radformation products, GE Optima CT scanner, Varian GammaMed Plus iX HDR unit, Sun Nuclear QA equipment
Support provided to a satellite clinic in Worthington, MN
Qualifications
Master’s or PhD degree in physics, biophysics, medical physics or radiological physics
Certification in radiation oncology physics is preferred; consideration for new grads and non-certified physicists who are board eligible
Must obtain certification within 5 years of hire
Three years’ experience in diagnostic radiology/nuclear medicine department preferred
Board certification required
