Produce and modify design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications. Collaborate with project managers to perform research, development, calculations, design, and project delivery. Address design issues, interact with clients, and meet project schedules using your technical expertise. Develop conceptual and detailed designs using current tools, programs, and software. Mentor and train junior engineers when appropriate. Plan and distribute discipline-specific work, and adhere to project schedule and budget. Assist in marketing responsibilities, including proposal generation. Assist with development of scope of work and level of effort for projects within the discipline. Coordinate technical aspects of the project with client counterparts and teaming partners at staff level. Work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience Primary Focus Will Include

H&H work on Water Resources projects. Storm Water design of transportation projects. Assist H&H department by performing engineering-related tasks including research, development, calculations, design and delivery on assigned project(s). Assist Project Managers with management of design review process. Preparation of construction documents, including reports, plans, and specifications. What You’ll Bring

Understands the impacts of decisions on technical design and work planning. Coordinates work planning and design effectively across multiple technical disciplines. Prepares high quality deliverables that are on time, and within budget and scope. What We Prefer

Knowledge of Hydrology & Hydraulics basics Master’s degree in Engineering 8 years relevant experience Professional Engineer (PE) certification Familiarity with HEC RAS, HEC HMS, HY8 Familiarity with AutoCAD/MicroStation, Civil 3D, ORD Additional Information
