Threat Requirements Engineer – Redstone Arsenal, AL. Venturi, LLC, a Chenega Company, has an exciting career opportunity to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Targets and Countermeasures program office. Working on the TEAMS Next Missile Defense Systems Engineer contract, this individual will cover multiple programs, developing and refining the capabilities of the MDA target systems built to test missile defense systems. Responsibilities

Apply physics and engineering-based analysis to aerospace systems, navigation, guidance, propulsion, aerodynamics, and aerothermal performance to develop recommendations on target configurations and technologies to meet missile defense flight testing requirements. Capture and write flight test, target, and countermeasure requirements recommendations from technical aptitude, technical intelligence reports, and Element requirements for government review and approval. Translate intelligence reports on ballistic and hypersonic adversary systems into summary products that guide target systems development and requirements. Frame requirements for flight testing and/or develop countermeasure technology requirements for flight testing, using understanding of countermeasure development and application. Apply Missile Defense System subject matter expertise to reconcile conflicting target requirement sets and negotiate solutions across the Elements and Flight Test communities. Facilitate support of Targets Program Office Systems Engineer activities with other MDA Systems Engineering teams, Prime Contractor, and OGAs as required. Obtain and review information from the prime contractor as requested by the Government customer. Ensure levied requirements flow down and verify compliance. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Required: Master's degree in a STEM field 12+ years working on missile defense-related or other complex, large DoD program/project Active Top Secret Security clearance Preferred Skills (Desired But Not Required): Familiarity with MDA and/or DoD programs and processes Familiarity with reading and understanding missile and space intelligence reports Ability to present information to the scientific and engineering community and to support presentations to General Officers and members of the Senior Executive Service Familiarity with MDA and system engineering processes Familiarity with technical proposal development and evaluation Model-Based Systems Engineering Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to travel 10-20% Ability to apply engineering rigor to solve engineering/scientific problems Experience writing, presenting, and coordinating product and engineering plans, policies, procedures, and requirements Understanding system interface requirements and requirements management Ability to clearly communicate complex ideas and produce clear, concise, well-organized presentations and documents Reviewing system engineering documentation to ensure specifications meet system needs Ability to work independently, as a team member, or as a team/task lead Experience in a configuration-controlled environment and handling requirements appropriately Grow and Benefits
