Senior Technical Project Manager – Structural Engineering Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and coordinate structural engineering work. Oversee the design and ongoing progress of projects, including coordination with city, state, and county officials and other outside agencies. Resolve a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements). Coordinate technical and administrative activities for projects with other disciplines and departments within Galloway. Take an active role in new business development; market Galloway's capabilities to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients. Provide supervision and guidance for overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters within a team; consult with Senior Project Manager and/or Team Manager concerning unusual problems and developments and obtain approvals as appropriate. Take a leadership role in the development of new business, promoting repeat and referral business with existing clients and developing new business in alignment with Galloway's strategies and goals; participate in networking events and business development meetings. Prepare and review project proposals, qualification statements, promotional materials, and professional services agreements; responsible for preparation, obtaining internal and external approvals, and managing final execution and subsequent amendments. Plan, develop, coordinate, and direct a team during the execution of projects. Takes an active role in coaching, mentoring, and delegating responsibility to less‑senior level staff; provide daily "on‑the‑job" training for team members. Serve as primary contact with clients; foster a culture of effective internal and external communication between client and team members. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or Architectural Engineering. Utah SE License required. 10+ years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in private commercial development projects; multifamily projects experience preferred. General knowledge of principles and practices of structural/civil engineering and architecture. Strong ability in Autodesk Revit Structure and AutoCAD. Experience with structural design software including frame analysis software (RISA 3D, RAM Structural System, etc.). Understanding of Building Information Modeling (BIM) concepts and processes.
