Overview
ABM Technical Solutions is looking for a Commercial HVAC Service Technician for the San Diego branch office. The mission is to continue to develop the existing culture, see the “big picture” on how sales and operations work together and create a winning & profitable operation that successfully serves ABM’s customers through our engaged people every day. Pay:
$25/hr to $45/hr. The pay listed is the salary range listed for this position. Any specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s successful education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with the market data. Must be 18 years of age or older Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license. Must be able to pass background check, drug screening and MVR check. Must possess EPA Universal certification credentials Must have refrigeration/HVAC trade or vocational certification Five (5) years plus of HVAC experience are required ABM work truck provided Preferred Qualifications
Five (5) years plus of HVAC experience is preferred Understanding of airflow dynamics and system balancing Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and schematics Familiarity with hydronic heating and cooling systems Knowledge of ductwork design, installation, and troubleshooting Experience with mechanical systems including pumps, motors, compressors, and fans Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, calibrate and adjust thermostats and burners, transformers, relays, heaters, elements, switches and controls on electrical systems Use common tools of the HVAC trade in daily work (e.g. multimeter, refrigerant gauges, charging charts, hand tools, etc.) Install, maintain, and repair ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment Identify maintenance risks on equipment Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems Clean, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently Provide technical direction and on-the-job training Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions Ensure compliance with equipment standards from OSHA Comply with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements Assist with customer queries inquiries On-Call duties when scheduled Military and veteran friendly employer; veterans and candidates with military experience encouraged to apply.
