A leading engineering firm is seeking an experienced and driven
Chief Structural Engineer
to lead complex industrial projects and mentor a growing team of engineers and designers. This is a high‑impact opportunity to shape the structural integrity of heavy industrial facilities, including vibrating equipment foundations, silos, retaining walls, and process infrastructure.
Base Pay Range $150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Key Responsibilities
Lead the structural scope on multi-discipline projects and manage a team of engineers and designers.
Oversee design deliverables, budgets, schedules, and client communication, ensuring quality and compliance with industry standards.
Perform advanced structural design including steel framing, concrete systems, and civil sitework.
Develop structural analysis models using STAAD, RISA, and finite element tools.
Lead project meetings, prepare documentation, and manage execution.
Conduct site visits for condition assessments, failure investigations, and data gathering.
Oversee construction document preparation and review.
Mentor junior engineers and designers.
Support proposal development and sales efforts.
Ensure compliance with codes including IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, and AWS.
What They're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
Minimum 10 years of experience in structural engineering for heavy industrial projects.
PE license required; SE preferred.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, STAAD, RISA.
Experience with steel, concrete, and masonry design.
Strong communication and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
